Amphyllis Twigden Washington

Amphyllis Twigden Washington (1602- 1655) was christened 2 Feb. 1602 in Spatton, Northamptonshire, England. She was the daughter of John Twigden and Anne Dickons. She married Lawrence Washington in Dec. 1633, and they had six children. She was buried 12 Jan. 1655 in Tring, Hertfordshire, England. She was one of the eminent women for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
