Benjamin Lynn Clapp
Benjamin Lynn Clapp (1814-1865) was born 19 Aug. 1814 in Madison Co., Mississippi Territory. He was the son of Lewis (Ludwick) Clapp and Margaret Ann Loy. He married Mary Shultz before 13 Sep. 1835; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized about 1835. He was a member of the Taropen Branch in Calloway Co., Kentucky in 1835 when Wilford Woodruff was serving a mission there and then served in church positions with Wilford between 1836 and 1858. He died 21 Oct. 1865 in Stockton, San Joaquin Co., California.
